Finding an affordable, gorgeous, medium-coverage and realistic looking foundation is hard to do. L’Oréal’s 24HR Fresh Wear foundation hits all the marks! Keep reading to check out my L’Oréal INFALLIBLE 24HR Fresh Wear Foundation Review and swatch.
In the fall and winter, I went through a period of time where I stopped wearing foundation entirely – my previous everyday favorite (Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless, and don’t get me wrong, it is still a great foundation) just wasn’t cutting it with the weather changes, and consequently, my skin changes. Even more important, I wanted a lighter coverage foundation than Fit Me, and started using BB Creams instead.
Fast forward to February, when I purchased the new foundation by L’Oreal – the 24HR Fresh Wear foundation from their infallible line. Oh My Goodness. I am so glad I did!

This foundation comes in 30 shades and retails for $14.99.
Here’s a screenshot so you can see the shade range. The highlighted shade, 415 Rose Ivory, is my shade.
L’Oreal claims that this foundation is:
- medium to full coverage
- lasts all day
- resists sweat, water, transfer
- for all skin types
And from my experience, all of these claims are correct!
L’Oréal INFALLIBLE 24HR Fresh Wear Foundation Review
This isn’t the best, most full coverage foundation in the world. BUT, L’Oreal doesn’t claim that it is. This foundation is absolutely medium-full coverage as they say, and it is buildable if you would like it on the fuller side.
I find that this foundation blends super well with my makeup sponge, and also blended well when I used it with a makeup brush – though, I don’t prefer to apply foundation this way, so I only tried that once for the sake of a review.
It doesn’t dry down super quickly, giving you enough time to blend it out. It works well with powder, or without setting it with powder.
Here’s the foundation both before and after being blended out on my hand (using a damp sponge!).
30 shades is awesome! I do feel like they are skewed a bit towards the light end of the spectrum, so I am going to kick off a star for that – but overall, I do feel that the shade range is great.
I am pale with pink/cool undertones. In many brands, I have to use the lightest shade of foundation – and it is often WAY too yellow for me. I was pleasantly surprised that I don’t have to use the lightest shade – in fact, my shade is the 4th! I originally thought that 415 Rose Ivory was going to be way too dark for me, but it is my perfect shade.
For reference, here is the Fresh Wear foundation (middle) compared to two other popular drugstore foundations: Milani Conceal and Perfect 2 in 1 foundation and concealer (shade 00A Porcelain) on left and Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless (shade 112 natural ivory) on right.
Standard glass bottle. Standard amount in the bottle, 1.0fl oz. PUMP! Amazing. Keeps it sanitary, and the pump is actually the perfect amount of product for me to use on my entire face.
This is an incredible foundation. I have used this for well over a month now, and it is most definitely my new favorite. It looks very natural and beautiful on the skin. The formula is buildable and does not oxidize. Even better, it looks awesome on my combination skin ALL day – without setting it with powder!
This foundation retails for $14.99 on L’Oreal’s website. While this is on the pricey side of drugstore foundations, I truly believe it is fully worth the price because of it’s amazing quality that rivals high end foundations! You can purchase this foundation directly from L’Oreal, who usually has all shades in stock (not all shades are found in all stores!). Ulta also carries the full line.
If you want to pay a little less than full price (and who doesn’t?) you can get this foundation on Amazon with prime shipping for a few dollars less! ($10.97 – 11.97 as of March 30, 2019)
Overall, I HIGHLY Recommend this foundation! It is truly my favorite.
I need to review some more products, but it’s definitely the most fun reviewing my favorites! Do you have any makeup products you’d love for me to review? Let me know in a comment.
