Why I post blog growth and income reports:
When I started my journey of blogging, I read lots of posts titled “blog income reports” and “blog growth reports” where bloggers post all their traffic and monetary numbers for their readers to see, to be completely transparent about everything they do!
The first income report I read was by Create And Go, which they update monthly here. They have great info and you should check them out if you’re interested in blogging.Create And Go is a very successful blog, with many followers and high SEO ranking. Comparatively, I found very few new bloggers that post growth reports or income reports in the early stages of their blog.
Most people wait 4-6 months, or maybe a whole year, to post a growth report – enough time for them to build a social media presence and gain authority online.
I decided to start monthly growth reports at the beginning of my blogging career to show the process from the very start of creating a new blog! These blogging reports will include growth and income information, social media information, as well as my goals for the following month of blogging!

General Information:
- I launched BeautyBrainsBlush.com on December 1, 2018
- This report covers my ninth month blog growth, from August 1 – 31, 2019
- I published 6 blog posts this month. This is much less than normal.
Page Views and Users
Goals I had for this month:
- 15k users
- 18k page views
This month’s statistics:
- 18,331 users (up from 6.2k)
- 24,974 page views (up from 8k)

Um. YEAH. Tripled my viewers from last month? I’m excited!

Goals for next month:
- 25k users
- 35k page views
I’m super glad I reached the goals I’ve had for a few months now! Hopefully the growth trend will continue.
Acquisition
Goals I had for this month:
- Write 3 posts based on Pinterest SEO
This month’s statistics:

I didn’t write any posts this month that were based on Pinterest SEO. Or any SEO. Or honestly, any evergreen content at all.
I had a busy month.
BUT my organic search results shot up this month, thanks to this post.
Goals for next month:
- Write 3 posts based on Pinterest SEO

Goals I had for this month:
- 150 subscribers
This month’s statistics:
- 152 subscribers (up from 93!)
I actually reached this goal. WHAT! I saw a huge increase in subscribers this month, mainly because of the increased traffic on my site.
I can’t believe this number grew so much – I’m going to bump up the goal another 50 to see if we can do it again!
Goals for next month:
- 200 subscribers
Shameless plug:
Social Media
Goals I had for this month:
- Post more older blog posts on FB to cycle them through – I have enough to do this and not be repetitive!
- Move and set up a studio for videos and lives!
This month’s statistics:
- Pinterest: 8,135 followers, 2.5 million monthly reach
(last month 6,841 followers and 2.4 million monthly reach) - Instagram: 1383 followers
(last month 1374 followers) - Facebook: 93 followers
(last month 90) - Twitter: 14 followers, I don’t really use Twitter I just have the account.
I didn’t go live at all this month. We almost moved, we didn’t, we found somewhere else to move, we packed, I got sick, we moved, I’m unpacking and recovering from my summertime cold.
BUT I do have a studio office area set up now! Woohoo! Once I don’t sound sick and stuffy I’ll start recording videos.
I did go live today (Sept 6) and plan to a LOT more now that I have an office! I also want to do the 100 day makeup challenge and post a lot more (and go live a lot more) too.
Goals for next month:
- Post more older blog posts on FB to cycle them through – I have enough to do this and not be repetitive!
- Film a couple videos and get comfortable on camera and editing.
- 100 day makeup challenge?
Income
Goals I had for this month:
- $500
- update August deals
- advertise deals page more
This month’s statistics:
- Google AdSense: $45.27
- Amazon Associates: $6.85
- rStyle: $98.54
Total for August 2019: $150.66
Alright. I did 50% better than last month, and I hardly did anything – I can totally see how bloggers can make a lot of money once they get the ball rolling!
I’m going to be trying a LOT harder the next couple months and I can’t wait to see how much growth I see because of that effort!

There are also expenses to blogging, including hosting, Tailwind, Canva, and other random little things (like backdrop supplies and office materials)! This month I spent more than normal, purchasing a backdrop for filming.
Goals for next month:
- $500
- update September deals
- advertise deals page more
- advertise 21 days of beauty post a lot
Still a large goal, but I want to aim high!

Future Goals
- Start Youtube
- Research business structures and tax information
I hope my ninth month blog growth report was helpful for you! All these numbers are real, and it’s sometimes weird putting it all out there on the internet – but I know I personally would have loved to read these.
