UPDATED: Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star Concealer and Setting Powder

If you keep up with beauty community drama, you’ve probably heard all about the Jeffree Star Cosmetics leak that has been buzzing on the internet over the past week. Today, JS took it to Youtube to tell all of us about the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star Concealer, a leaked product, and other mishaps that have been happening to the brand.

Twitter and Facebook groups have recently been filled with pictures of the upcoming release for a JSC concealer – a product that Jeffree has been talking about for a while, so we already knew the product was coming – but we did not know what it looked like or when it would be available.

Scandal and Theft Information

This is the photo of JSC Magic Star concealer that was leaked on the internet.

NOTE: I’m only posting this because Jeffree Star posted the photo himself in his Youtube video.

A JSC facility was broken into on March 15, 2019, by a “professional” team of black market makeup robbers (according to JS on Youtube), and stole 2.5 million dollars worth of product.

This theft happened directly after his announcement of the new Blue Blood eyeshadow palette.

One of the makeup items stolen was an entire shipment of a single shade of his new concealer – thousands of shade “C5” was stolen!

Now that the photo has been leaked on Facebook (by someone trying to sell the stolen, unreleased product), the cosmetics company is working with a large legal team and the FBI to track down the people who stole 2.5 million dollars worth of makeup.

The woman who reposted the photo in a Facebook makeup group trying to sell product is currently (April 2 2019) in jail while law enforcement is trying to figure out the black market contact she was working with. EDIT: According to some sources, the supplier is jail, not the person who posted it to a group. Thanks for the update info! The name of this woman is known, as well as her past of scamming people in makeup groups and leaking unreleased makeup, which likely comes with her black market connections. Her name will not be released at this time.

Author’s note: Drama about JS, JSC, and the woman who posted in the makeup group aside, I hope that the black market makeup robbers are caught! Black market makeup and fake makeup is a huge problem that costs lots of companies money and can be harmful to consumers.

The original black market robbers are thought to be selling the concealer in batches to small makeup resellers (like the woman who posted in the Facebook group) where it is seen popping up on many resell apps like this:

You can clearly see the Magic Star concealer packaging next to the other new release, Blue Blood, and other makeup items that were stolen from JSC warehouse (Platinum Ice and Northern Lights).

DO NOT BUY THIS CONCEALER OFF OF A RESELLER AT THIS TIME. It is 100% stolen product that is illegal to sell or have. Look out for yourselves and do NOT buy something that is against the law. You won’t win a lawsuit against JSC.

As of now (April 2, 2019) we know that later in April JSC will be releasing 30 shades of Magic Star concealers (C5 was leaked). JSC will also be releasing 8 Magic Star setting powders.

To ensure you buy a REAL, not stolen shade C5, there will be a holographic type of sticker on the box of this specific shade – NO other shades will have this special sticker.
