For the first look posted on this blog, I wanted to show off something intense, colorful, fun, and maybe a bit intimidating.

This is what beauty gurus call a “Half Cut Crease

(I know, this terminology is kinda weird when you don’t know it all. Don’t worry, I’ll be building a beauty lingo glossary in the future! EDIT: Makeup Glossary is up! Check it out here. )

In these “makeup look” posts, I’m not planning on giving a full tutorial for looks I create, find, or get from other MUAs.

I will be giving some key product information when I can, such as the primary eyeshadow palette or lashes used in the look, so that it is easier for you to create a similar look on your own, as well as the links to products and inspiration for the makeup when I can!

For more in-depth info, feel free to leave a comment requesting details or a recreation tutorial.

Enough talk, here’s the look with full size images:

The shirt I’m wearing is a super comfy flannel, perfect for the fall and wintertime.

I wanted to play on the blues, yellows, and oranges in this shirt to make a matching look to help my makeup really POP!

The palette used in this look is BH Cosmetics, Take Me Back to Brazil:

Along with a bit of help from Morphe x Jaclyn Hill vault collection to blend things out.

Gold liner is by NYX Cosmetics, and lashes are Demi Wispies by Ardell – I LOVE these lashes (so much that I wore them for my wedding day!) and think they would be great for beginners. This is by far the best deal you can get on them, and is the exact one I bought (and will repurchase when needed!):

Secondary inspiration, besides my shirt, for this look is a Macaw! After going to the zoo a few months ago, I wanted to create some looks based off the colors of some tropical birds, like this beauty:

Overall, I’m happy with how this bright and colorful look turned out.

Let me know what kinds of looks you want to see in the future, below in the comments!

Thanks for reading, beautiful!
