The past few years, warm toned looks have been very popular. Using orange as a transition shade and deep berry reds as “neutrals” is encouraged. Personally, I’m much more of a cool-toned neutrals kind of gal, and this is my favorite glam look. Check out this cool toned glam makeup look using Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Sultry palette!

Cool Toned Glam Makeup Look

This look was day 4 of my 100 makeup looks challenge, taking place on Instagram. I haven’t finished this challenge yet, but want to share some of my completed looks with you!

My skin is cool toned. I have very pink undertones, my veins look blue/purple, and “rosy” foundations look the best on me.

Sometimes I feel that warm-toned eyeshadows look a bit off on me. Specifically warm toned neutrals. Using an orange as a neutral transition shade, then popping a warm brown (that looks a bit red) into my crease to deepen the look up just feels weird to me.

As a cool toned lover, Sultry by ABH is one of my all time favorite eyeshadow palettes. It has a couple cool toned transition shades (including a true cool grey!) , a cool toned brown and black to deepen, and a wide array of the most soft, gorgeous ABH shimmers. If you love cool tones as much as I do, you need this palette.

This is my go-to eyeshadow style. It is similar to a half cut crease, but way easier because I don’t actually “cut the crease”!

Because my eyes are partially hooded, my “cut creases” have to be super high on my eyelid to show when my eyes are open. Instead, I like to take the shimmer and place it where I would if I did a cut crease, and then using whatever is left on my brush bring it up a little higher to give an illusion of a gradient of shimmer.

For this look, I used the shades “Fresh” to set, “Twig” as a transition and outer corner shade, and mainly “Cyborg” on my lid. I’ll be honest, I probably mixed a couple other shades in there too – I love mixing the shimmers in this palette!

To complete the look, I added a bright cool toned red lipstick! I love the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink lipsticks. This is in the shade Pioneer, and it’s my favorite red. I put a bit of a Colourpop ultra glossy lip on top which gives it a slight pink tint.

Another product you could create this look with is the Morphe x JH Dark Magic eyeshadow palette.

Have you ever created an cool toned glam makeup look? I’d love to see it!
