Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to get dressed up in your favorite outfit and wear a bold pink, red, or purple eye look. But it’s so hard to choose what sort of makeup you want to wear for your upcoming date or Galentine’s party! Here are our favorite Valentine’s Day makeup ideas, just in time for Valentines 2019!
Simple & Romantic Valentine’s Day Makeup Ideas
If you love softer, muted eyeshadow looks, these are for you! They still use traditional pinky Valentine’s colors, but are less bold than some of the other looks.
The soft blend of this look is super pretty, and would look great on so many eye shapes!
Similar to the lash look with a little more red tones, this look is just as pretty with a bold wing.
This soft pink cut crease is great for beginners, because it doesn’t have to be perfect and sharp!
This cut crease look is a bit more dramatic – but with only two eyeshadow shades, it is still simple.
Tips and tricks! If your cut crease is a little shaky, add a little bit of glitter eyeliner in it to make it pop.
A stunning ombre from light pink in the inner corner to a deeper pink-purple hue on the outer corner.
Pretty in Pink Valentine’s Day Makeup Ideas
I don’t personally wear pink eyeshadow much, but nothing screams Valentine’s makeup to me like a bold and bright pink eyeshadow!

Baby pink!! While this look is going to work best on very fair skin tones, we are digging the bubblegum pink vibe.

@chelsseababe
Blending your eyeshadow out to make a smokey pink look is a great take on VDay looks – add shimmer to the center and you’re set!
You can achieve a negative space heart by placing a heart sticker on your eyelid before you start your makeup, then removing it afterwards to reveal your skin underneath!

@ohmels
You can use a sticker for the cute little heart detail if your hand isn’t super steady – or to trace before you fill it in with makeup!

This is one of my FAVORITE looks because of that glitter! VDay is a great reason to sparkle.
This bold pinky (and slightly purply!) look is gorgeous. You can use tape to help you get a straight winged eyeliner!

Monochromatic cut creases like this are bold and fun. This gorgeous look pairs multiple shades of pink eyeshadow with a neutral lip shade, and we love it!

Who knows where we can get this sparkly pink glitter eyeliner? We need it!
Red Valentine’s Day Makeup Ideas
It can be hard to find a true RED eyeshadow, because many of them look pink after you blend them out! The solution? Try some single red shadows or red blushes!

This red smokey eye look would be so gorgeous paired with a long black dress!

Have fun, makeup safe shaped glitter? Bring it out and have fun with it! These stars are super cute, even though they aren’t hearts.

If you have heart shaped makeup glitter, there is no better time to wear it than VDay!

You can get a sharp line of eyeshadow with tape or by cleaning it up with concealer after you’re done!
Purple Valentine’s Day Makeup Ideas
For those of you who don’t like pinks, why not check out these purple eyeshadow looks? They’re still so pretty and romantic, you’ll love them!

This deep purple and purple glitter eyeliner are soooo pretty!

Artist Unknown
I’m sure this look takes lots of skill (and time!) but we love it SO much.
This purple look is super dramatic! The contrast with a lighter liner is super cool, because eyeliner is typically darker than the eyeshadow!

Can’t choose between pink or purple? We can’t, either.
Okay we know this look has more than just purple and was originally made to be a sunset look, but it is too pretty to not add in this list!
Neutral Glam Valentine’s Day Makeup Ideas
If you really aren’t into color, or don’t own any colorful eyeshadow palettes, you can definitely opt for one of these neutral glam looks. Some brown. champange, or gold glitters and shimmers make these very pretty – while also being sophisticated and glamorous!

Simple, yet perfect!

Add a wing and glitter and you’re suddenly glam!

Love cut creases but not the color? This is for you.
