When this palette first came out, rainbow makeup looks were all the trend! Since then, we’ve transitioned into blue makeup looks (thanks to JSC Blue Blood!) and lots of bright pinks. But the rainbow looks are back in full swing this June and here to stay! Here’s my Rainbow Double Cut Crease makeup look using the James Charles x Morphe eyeshadow palette.

What I love the most about the James Charles palette is the range of matte, bright colors that are available. A lot of other colorful eyeshadow palettes have a wide range of colors, but many of them are shimmery or glitter – which makes it hard to create a true rainbow look!
You can get the James Charles palette at Ulta for $39! (Pro tip: You can use Ulta’s $3.50 coupons on Morphe products!)
If you’re looking for a good palette with lots of different colors, I think this palette would be great for you. Some of the shades are pressed pigments, though – which requires a bit more effort to blend! Personally, I think it’s worth it for the pigmentation and final results.

Rainbow Double Cut Crease
I used these shades for the look:
To challenge myself with this makeup look, I did a style I’ve never tried before: a double cut crease! I also wanted to have a full rainbow spectrum on each of my eyes, multiple times.
Here’s the end result:

The top “layer” rainbow is a gradient from yellow, orange, pink, red, purple, blue, all the way to green.
I cut my crease and reversed the order of shades on my lid, from green to yellow.
For the second cut crease, I brought it down towards my lash line to mimic eyeliner! I followed the first order of colors until red, where it connected with the shades above it.
To finish off the look, I used the rest of the rainbow on my lower lash line.

Overall, I’m super pleased with how this look turned out! The key is to take your time blending all the colors together.
I used a lot of super tiny makeup brushes to complete this look. Some of my favorites are from BH Cosmetics.
It took me about an hour and ten minutes to complete my eyeshadow, from start to finish, on both eyes. It was time consuming, but super fun!
