Of all of Anastasia Beverly Hill’s eyeshadow palettes, Subculture tends to have the worst reputation. Though many claim it is the hardest ABH palette to blend, I have no problem when I prep with the right eyeshadow base. Check out the Subculture cut crease makeup look I created with the gorgeous cool tones of this palette!

Personally, I’m over the warm-berry-toned eyeshadow palette trend. I know a lot of people prefer warmed toned neutrals and pink eyeshadows, but I feel like they clash with my cool, pink-toned skin! I definitely gravitate to cooler toned neutrals and pops of color, making Subculture extremely appealing to me.
It makes me sad that ABH is discontinuing Subculture, so if you like this palette you should definitely grab it out before it’s gone! It’s already gone from Ulta, Sephora, and department stores. Beautylish has it in stock at the time this is posted, though:
Here’s my Subculture cut crease makeup look!

I really love how this turned out!
The shades I used from Subculture were “Dawn,” “Untamed,” “Axis,” and “Electric.” I love how they look together, especially the green and blue shades!
Also used for this makeup look are Ardell Demi Wispies (my favorite drugstore falsies, recommended in best false eyelashes for beginners) and a L’Oreal eyeliner.
There is absolutely no makeup or skin editing in that close up photo, so you can truly see how well I was able to get these eyeshadows to blend. I really enjoyed using Subculture, and the rest of my ABH palettes!

BONUS TIP!
In this photo and angle, you can REALLY see that my eyes are hooded. This means that you cannot see the crease when my eyes are open.
My natural crease is the part where you can clearly see my skin folding inward, and if I were to “cut” my crease in this area, you wouldn’t see it at all!
To fix this, I fake a crease much higher, and “cut” it there instead. This still gives me the full glam of a cut crease, while making it work for my particular eye shape.
If you love this makeup look, I would be super appreciative if you pinned it on Pinterest!
And if you love makeup, I’d love to be your friend. I’ll give you my best makeup tips and more.
Do you love seeing makeup looks? Should I post them more often?? Let me know!
